The Client

Jonathan Fulcher is a highly experienced and fully qualified Arboricultural consultant. After many years of experience working for Local Authorities in various roles from direct works management to senior tree officer he decided to set up his own consultancy business.

The Challenge

Any new business needs to create an impression within its client base and part of this impression requires having a suitable logo that is both unique to the business and stands out from the crowd. Having seen work that I had produced for other clients Jonathan decided to commission me to create the logo for his new business.

The Solution

It was quite quickly decided that the logo should be relatively simple containing imagery that linked to the company name 'Alderwood Consulting'. The obvious solution was to use some form of image of an alder tree and so I got to work finding alder trees and taking various photo's for prototyping the logo.

The Result

By selecting the right font and font colour and combining this with one of the images I had taken, alder leaves and the alder's small brown cones that stay on the tree all year round, we had a logo that worked perfectly.
